FLINT HOUSING COMMISSION 2010 BOARD MEETING SCHEDULE

 

ARRA Stimulus Funding

The ARRA Stimulus grant was received in the amount of $2,548,758.00.

 These funds are being used for the replacement of parking lots, porches and sidewalks,

Exterior painting at Richert Manor and Mince Manor; Lobby Floor replacement at Richert Manor

 Bathroom Floor replacement at Howard Estates; Kitchen floor replacement at Aldridge Place Apts.

 Siding, gutter and downspout replacement at Howard estates; fencing repair/replacement at Scattered Sites

    Basement Leak repair at River Park; Howard Estates

 Aldridge Place and Scattered Sites and Renovations at Scattered Sites.

The Flint Housing Commission has been awarded $3.12 million

 in federal stimulus funding for energy efficiency upgrades at public housing units.

The funding will benefit the Centerview Apartments, Mince Manor, Richert Manor and Howard Estates

 housing developments, according to a news release from the office of U.S. Rep. Dale E. Kildee, D-Flint.

 "This stimulus funding will greatly benefit the Flint community by improving our

affordable housing and increasing energy efficiency,” Kildee said in a statement.

  The funding will be designated as follows:

 $1,119,214 for Centerview Apartments (Energy Efficient Windows and a "Green Roof" for the lower part of the roof)

 $445,939 for Mince Manor (Energy Efficient Window Replacements)  

$670,535 for Richert Manor (Energy Efficient Window Replacements)  

 $884,312 for Howard Estates (Energy Efficient Window Replacements)

The Flint Housing Commission received $400,000.00 from the City of Flint H.O.M.E. Grant.

This Grant will be used to renovate 4 Buildings 20 units in all at our Atherton East Property.
