The Flint Housing Commission’s
One & Two Bedroom Waiting List will be CLOSED
effective Monday July 13, 2009 until further notice.
We will however, continue to accept applications that qualify for a
Local Preference.
The preferences are as follows:
*Working for 6 months consistently without interruption
*Elderly
*Disabled
*Victim of Domestic Violence
*Involuntarily Displaced due to disaster (fire, flood, earthquake etc),
Federal, state, or local government
action related to code enforcement, public improvement or development,
or HUD disposition.
*Veteran of any declared United States war or conflict.
You will be required to submit documentation proving that the preference
does apply during the point in time
you apply for Public Housing. If we find that the preference does not apply
at the time of the
application you will be notified and your name will be removed from the waiting list.
If you're Preference
has changed when you are at the top of the Waiting List
you will be notified and placed at the BOTTOM of the WAITING LIST.
